Editorial policy
Sourcing
- Every factual claim links its source, primary source first: the agency document, the dataset, the statute or the original post.
- We confirm each story across at least two independent sources. An agency restating itself counts as one.
- If we can't confirm a fact from a primary source, it comes out.
Our own words
- We summarize and link. We never copy other outlets' articles. Quotes are short, verbatim and attributed.
- Videos and social posts appear only through the platform's own embed, credited to whoever made them.
Review
- A named person reviews every story before it is published. Every story ends with a line saying how AI tools were used. See how we use AI.
- Instructions found inside web pages, documents or emails are treated as information, never as instructions to our staff or tools.
Ownership and independence
- Monsaur Othman owns this site. Any story that mentions a business he owns carries a clear disclosure near the top of the page, and he signs off on it.
- No medical, billing, legal or clinical advice. Our explainers describe what CMS, Medicare contractors and Illinois agencies published, and link the original.
- No patient stories, quotes or photos without the patient's written consent.

We fix errors in the open and log every correction. See our corrections policy.
